As in all of Drager’s range of professional breathing apparatus, the PSS 4000 is ergonomically designed for durability and high performance, offering outstanding features for the modern firefighter.
Incorporating a quick- release harness fastener and pull forward system allowing the user to easily adjust the carrying harness.
Being designed for the ultimate in comfort and ease of use the Drager PSS 4000 is manufactured from the most rugged and durable materials to offer outstanding performance over extended time periods and frequency of use. Aramid fibre is utilised for the construction of the webbing, stainless steel for the buckles.
The harness is ergonomically designed to follow the contours of the body and this gives superior stability when worn and reduced fatigue and back pain for the user due to the weight being evenly distributed.
Another advanced safely feature is the integration of the first stage pressure reducer in the Drager PSS 4000’s carrying frame.
You can rely on low down times and minimal need for maintenance due to its advanced design, with the Drager PSS 4000 it is extremely easy to remove any of the main components and thus quick and easy to re assemble. This simplicity is due to the single piece harness and carrying frame.
Water absorption is reduced to the absolute minimum due to the advanced design of the single piece waist pad and harness – it also means quicker drying and cleaning times. The carrying frame also has the air supply and gauge hoses integrated into it, thus making it a safer unit when used in confined spaces.
An additional feature is being able to have the hoses routed either on the right or left, for individual users’ preference of gauge access. Hose replacement is made much simpler also as a result of this design feature.
There is also a wireless option by the addition of the Drager Bodyguard 1500, which is a Personal Alert Safety System allowing wireless transmission of data between the unit and connected monitor device.
