The sensors' controlling electronics have been cleverly miniaturized and placed inside the sensor itself, this superior technology offers the user the ultimate in accuracy, repeatability and stability.

The Altair family of gas detectors includes the ever-popular Altair unit, which is a maintenance free single gas detector that has a wide range of sensors.

The Altair 4X compact multi gas detector that features MSA XCell sensors and the Altair 5X which features MSA XCell sensors as well and is a versatile multi gas detector.

The MSA XCell sensors have the fastest response and span calibration times due to their superior chemical and mechanical sensor design.

Due to the reduced response time, a significant amount of time and money can be saved on calibration bump tests as well as an increased chance of saving lives.

The Altair unit is a highly robust single gas detector that has the option of sensing H2S, 02 and CO.

It is rated to deliver 1080 alarm minutes or two years of service life with zero maintenance.

This does not mean it will stop working after two years, it will continue to perform as long as the battery lasts.

It has been tested rigorously and has withstood a 3m drop test, is rated at IP67 for dust and water tightness, the display unit extreme easy to read has changeable alarm setpoints and easy to grip design.

The LEDs are highly visible, the unit has a strong audible alarm, 95 dB (at 30 cm) a strong vibrating alarm, an integrated test gas gap and the facility for single bump test with 24-hour check mark.

The Altair Pro is a single gas detector that has a wide range of sensors. It is a highly reliable gas detector that offers a wide choice of sensors including CO2, 02, NH3, H2S, CI2, HCN, CI02, NO2, SO2, and PH3.

It has also been tested to withstand a 3m drop test and is IP67 rated for seals. It also has an easy to read display, highly visible LEDs, 95 dB alarm, strong vibrating alarm and integrated test gas cap.

Combined with a wide range of sensors, single bump check with 24-hour checkmark, this is a highly reliable high-performance gas detector unit.

The Altair 4X multigas gas detector is equipped with MSA Xcell sensor technology and is a reliable multi gas detector and can simultaneously measure up to 4 gases including combustible gases CO2, O2, SO2, H2S, and O2.

It features 24 hour battery runtime, can withstand a 6m drop test and has very fast sensor response and clear times (less than 15 seconds).

This unit gives greater signal stability as well as repeatability and lower running costs, typical sensor life is over four years and it features a unique motion alert and instant alert alarm.

This unit has a sensor life indicator, which will eliminate service outages; it is IP67 complaint, has a full three-year warranty and is compatible with the new multiunit charger (Altair 4X multiunit charger).

The Altair 5X multi-gas detector with MSA X cell sensor technology for combustible gases, O2 and toxic gases is a tough and functional unit housed in a rugged polycarbonate outer casing, is extremely durable and can survive a 3m drop.

Its 18 battery runtime is complemented by its compatibility with the new Altair 5X multiunit Charger. It also features LEL, CO, 02, H2S and SO2 detection, 60 Second span calibration and 15 second bump test facility.

It is equipped with 18 language options, motion alert and instant alert alarm and end of sensor life warning.

You can reasonably expect a service life of over three years and it has a 12 month warranty on other sensors like NO, NO2, PH3, CI02, HCN, 2 year warranty on NH3 and CI2.

The Altair 5X also features a wireless USB option to connect to Alpha personal network units.

The Galaxy GX2 automated test system is an easy-to-use automated test platform that offers extremely high performance in either standalone mode or integrated with other personal detector systems. This will allow the user total data access and control of the MSA Altair family of gas detector units.

It features a colour touchscreen, is simple to use, touch- free testing and can test up to 10 gas detectors simultaneously in the time it takes to test one device.

It also features 18 languages and is extremely economical to run due to the reduced calibration gas expenses, especially when it is combined with high-performance MSA XCell sensor technology.

This unit is compatible with the MSA link pro software, which allows advanced calibration and safety management as well as the facility to monitor all incoming data and email responses to users regarding gas exposure.
