Honeywell AreaRAE Steel

The Area RAE Steel is a rapidly deployable multigas wireless monitor and it is housed in a rugged stainless steel casing.

Being rugged and portable as well as highly weather resistant it has been designed to withstand the harshest of environments.

This unit is capable of monitoring up to 5 separate threats including LEL, VOCs, oxygen and is also equipped with two user selectable toxic sensors.

The monitors in these units are designed to be used in a hazardous environment to establish a safety parameter as quickly as possible, allowing users to retreat to a position of safety and to be able to get readings from up to 3 km away.

This unit includes a built-in sampling pump, optional GPS, a loud buzzer, extra bright large warning light, a large LCD display, keypad and it is powered by a lithium Ion or alkaline battery pack that is interchangeable.

These features allow the viewer to see real-time sensor data and alarm status at the command centre.

The Area RAE Steel is capable of continuous operation from an AC main source and is suited to a wide range of applications and environments.

This unit is ideal for use in petrochemical plants and refineries, power plants, the pulp and paper industry, marine and offshore wells, plants and mills as well as for emergency response in hazmat areas.

Weighing in at 6.3kgs, its dimensions are 235mm x 127mm x 235mm.
