It has a 130L capacity and is designed to be operated by one person.
Being Lloyds certified and MCA approved this is a highly mobile foam- producing unit that is suitable for a number of popular foam compounds.
It is ergonomically designed and needs to be connected to a pressurised water supply. The 3% foam concentrate which it is filled with, allows a running time of over 20 minutes with an output of over 34,000L of low-expansion foam.
The chassis is made from a plastic coated steel frame which is corrosion resistant and the wheels are solid rubber 400mm in diameter.
Its size is 1020mm x 910mm x 710mm and its weight before being filled with foam is 70kg.
The 130L capacity foam tank is chemically resistant orange GRP type, compatible with all types of foam including protein, synthetic, fluoroprotein, AFFF, FFFP as well as alcohol resistant foam.
The EDF 130 is ideally suited to oil platforms and storage/processing plants, solvent and paint stores, boiler engine rooms and any other high-risk areas where rapid deployment of foam is required.
It has standard fittings including an HV225 low-expansion foam branch pipe, Z225 variable in-line foam inductor (with on/off ball valve), 2x half-inch instantaneous light alloy fitting (to BS 336) and 2 × 15mm x 45 mm Nova firehoses (BS 6391 type 3).
