Digital Noise Reduction

The Dräger FPS-COM 5000 incorporates digital noise reduction technology which filters out any interference that may reach the microphone inside the mask and also any acoustic feedback. In addition, breathing sounds are not transmitted to the radio or voice amplifier. Even in the loudest environments, the Dräger FPS-COM 5000 allows you to communicate without any interference. This clear communication prevents any dangerous misunderstanding and allows the user to fully concentrate on the mission

Wide range of communication channels

The Dräger FPS-COM 5000 can connect via the attached jack to more than 350 different radio sets via the Dräger C-C550 remote speaker microphone external or the Dräger C-C440 push-to-talk button. Alternatively, you can use the built-in, push-to-talk button by connecting the Dräger FPS-COM 5000 directly to the radio. Bluetooth Connection is also possible to specified radio sets and this has the advantage of reducing the risk of snagging.

Low maintenance and automatic shut off

If there is no breathing sound for 10 minutes, the Dräger FPS-COM shuts off automatically (after a pre-alarm). This prolongs the battery life, keeps maintenance costs down, and ensures that your equipment is ready for use when needed.

Communication over several hours

The Dräger FPS-COM 5000 keeps you in contact with your colleagues during extended activities lasting several hours. During complex tasks, you can have discussions with your team leader lasting considerable time, and always be able to take instructions and give feedback. The Dräger PSS BG 4 plus also comes into its own here as it can supply you with breathing air for up to four hours.

Simple Assembly with no special tools

The Dräger FPS-COM 5000 is attached and removed in just a few steps using the revolutionary newly developed click-lock system. In addition, the Dräger FPS-COM 5000 does not need to be removed for manual cleaning. The communication unit is protected against the ingress of water or humidity according to IP67.

Customised fit for clear speech

It is important that the earpiece fits as closely as possible to make sure important information communicated clearly and to avoid repetition of radio messages during a mission. To facilitate a perfect fit and ensure perfect audio quality the flexible gooseneck earpiece of the Dräger FPS-COM 5000 can be adapted individually to suit the wearers head shape.
